[Highland Region]

Moniak has been converted to a winery which has some very fine wines and mead. None of the wines are produced from grapes, but come from flowers, tree bark, honey, and anything else that can be fermented. They also produce some great jams and marmalades.

The castle was started with a 17th century L-plan with ranges being added through the years. The appearance has altered due to the additions. The last modification occurred in 1920. It originally belonged to the Frasers of Lovat.
