The Meigle Sculptured Stone Museum has a collection of 33 stones. All were found in the churchyard or as part of the church building. Many of the carvings were class II stones with celtic crosses on one side with Pictish carvings on the reverse side. Class II carvings are generally thought to be between 800 AD and 1000 AD. I do not have specific information as to the dates of these stones. | |
